Field Trip to Wzay Xor Solar Project

On Thursday, 16th of September, we arranged an engineering field trip to the Wzay Xor Company’s solar project made in Ala Company in Bazian.

The solar system provides 25% of the whole company’s electricity consumption from solar energy, which consists of around 500 (2X1)m solar panels.

We had also visited the Ala’ water manufacturing factory consisting of many machines, four main production lines, and microbiology and chemistry laboratories.

This field trip has been one of the main important opportunities for the engineering students to expose the application of the theories already being studied in class. It has also been useful to explain how essential renewable energy is to reduce the cost of production in the company and to mitigate the environmental issues.
